Two swings, engineered for strength and durability

See the structural certificate of this frame.

Commercial Double Swing Frame is built from Cypress Pine timber and powder-coated steel, engineered for reliable outdoor use in both residential and high-use environments. This frame is ideal for adults and older children who want a solid setup where two people can swing together, or use just one side for extra headroom.

What you're getting

  • Top beam with swing hangers — commercial-grade metal with pre-drilled attachment points for two swings
  • Four Cypress Pine legs — 90 × 90mm timber, each 2.7m long
  • Metal corner brackets and ground anchors — for permanent in-ground installation
  • Hardware kit — screws, nuts, and washers included

⚠️ Swing seats are sold separately. Choose one or two swings — sensory swings, nest swings, or other compatible options.

Weight limits — important to know

Two swings in use: 90kg maximum per swing (both operating simultaneously)

One swing in use: 120kg maximum (if using the frame with just a single swing)

These limits are certified by a structural engineer. If a swing will be used by someone approaching or at the weight limit, discuss this with the person and supervising adult before purchase.

In-ground installation | required for warranty

This frame is designed for permanent in-ground installation and must be anchored securely into the ground for warranty coverage. You have two installation options depending on your soil type:

  • In compacted earth: 450mm deep, 100mm diameter stainless steel screw pile into soil (unit density 2000kg/m³)
  • In sand or loose soil: 300mm diameter by 400mm deep concrete footing with screw pile embedded in the centre — this is the safer option for most backyards

If you're unsure about soil type or installation requirements, we recommend consulting a local tradie or landscaper before ordering. An instruction manual and structural certificate come with every frame — these documents must be followed for safe assembly and installation.

Space and safety clearance you'll need

  • 1.9m clearance on each side of the frame
  • 3m clearance in front and behind
  • Soft fall matting: 300mm minimum under and around the frame. Use materials meeting Australian safety standards.

About the timber | natural checking is normal

Your frame is made from Australian Cypress Pine, a naturally termite-resistant hardwood ideal for Australia's climate. Like all timber, Cypress will develop small surface splits (checking) as it expands and contracts in warm and cool weather. This is completely normal and does not affect the frame's strength or safety — it's a feature of solid timber, not a fault.

For peace of mind: the thick 90 × 90mm posts are engineered so that natural checking never becomes deep enough to compromise structural integrity.

Before and after you use it

  • Before first use: Check all screws, nuts, bolts, hooks, and chains are tight. Inspect hardware before each session.
  • Adult supervision: Always required for children. The frame itself is sturdy, but anyone using the swings needs a responsible adult nearby.
  • Maintenance: Inspect all hardware every 1–3 months. Tighten any loose fittings and replace damaged parts promptly.

Delivery and installation

Swing frames are oversize and heavy (pallet delivery only). The frame must be delivered to a location where in-ground installation can be completed, or picked up from the depot closest to you. Installation into the ground is your responsibility — we recommend arranging this with a local landscaper or tradie before ordering. Check delivery and site preparation options before placing your order.
