Create a secure, reliable hanging point anywhere in your home with our heavy-duty Ceiling Anchor Plate Kits. Coming in a convenient set of two, these dynamic anchor plates are the perfect pair for securely hanging sensory swings, hammock chairs, or suspension trainers from concrete, brick, or solid wood ceilings.
Why You'll Love It
- ✅ Versatile Mounting: Safely install your indoor swings or hammocks into concrete ceilings, exposed brick walls, or solid timber joists.
- ✅ Concrete Hardware Included: Each kit includes 4 high-strength sleeve anchor expansion bolts specifically designed for masonry holds.
- ✅ Easy Loop System: Features a smooth metal ring that allows you to easily pass your hanging straps through without fraying the material.
The Perfect Pair for Your Hanging Needs
Safety always comes first when hanging equipment from your ceiling. That is why these anchor plates are designed with a wide footprint to distribute weight evenly. Once your anchor plates are securely set up, simply pass your suspension strap through the metal ring, thread it back through itself, attach your carabiner at your desired height, and hook up your swing!
⚠️ Important Hardware Note: If you are dealing with concrete or brick, the included sleeve anchor expansion bolts will hold tight. However, if you are mounting into wood joists, you must purchase separate wood screws (coach screws). Using the expansion bolts in wood will cause the timber to split and fail.
Installation: Concrete & Brick
Follow these steps for a secure masonry installation using the included expansion bolts:
- Mark exactly where you want the anchor plate to go, ensuring the holes line up cleanly.
- Using a hammer drill, create holes that are the exact diameter of the sleeve anchors.
- Clean out all the concrete dust using a vacuum, blower, or stiff brush—the holes must be squeaky clean for the bolts to grip!
- Place the anchor plate over the holes.
- Slide or tap in the sleeve anchors, then firmly tighten the nuts until the metal sleeve expands and locks itself permanently into the concrete.
Installation: Wood Joists
Follow these steps for a secure timber installation (Requires separate wood/coach screws):
- Locate a solid, load-bearing timber joist (do not install directly into drywall/plasterboard) and mark your spots for the anchor plate holes.
- Drill pilot holes into the wood first. This is a crucial step to keep the timber from splitting when you drive the screws in.
- Position the anchor plate over the pilot holes.
- Drive your heavy-duty wood screws in tightly, and you're good to go!
Safety Checks & Shipping
Safety First: Before hanging your hammock or sensory swing, always have an adult double-check that the plate is completely flush with the ceiling and that the hardware is nice and sturdy by applying significant downward pressure.

Common Questions
Can I use the included expansion bolts on a wooden ceiling?
No. The included sleeve anchor expansion bolts are specifically designed for concrete and brick. If you use them in wood, they will expand and split the timber, compromising the structural integrity. You must use separate heavy-duty wood screws for timber joists.
How do I attach my swing to this ceiling anchor?
Once the plate is securely mounted, take your suspension strap (or daisy chain), pass it through the welded metal ring on the anchor, thread the strap back through its own loop, and pull tight. You can then clip your carabiner and swing to the strap.
Can I install this directly into plasterboard or drywall?
Absolutely not. Plasterboard cannot support human weight. You must locate a solid, structural timber joist behind the drywall, or mount directly into solid concrete or brick.
