Our Free-Standing Double Swing Set is built from robust Cypress Pine and metal corner brackets, designed to give you and yours a solid place to relax outdoors. Because it's free-standing, you can set it up on level ground without digging or concreting — which makes it perfect if you're renting, or if you just want the flexibility to relocate it later.
Two people can swing together, or use just one side if you prefer more space. Either way, you get a frame that's engineered to stand firm and last, anchored securely with ground anchors that keep it stable in one spot.

🛠️ Setup & safety clearance
Ground requirements
This swing set must be installed on completely flat, level ground. Uneven or sloped surfaces will affect stability and safety. Check your site carefully before installation.
Space you'll need
- Sides: 1.9 metres clearance on both sides (minimum 1.5m)
- Front and back: 2.3 to 3 metres clearance
Soft fall matting
To meet Australian safety standards, we recommend installing soft fall (bark or rubber) under and around the swing frame. A 300mm depth is a good starting point.

Regular checks keep it safe
You're responsible for regular inspection and maintenance. Check all parts every 1 to 3 months — screws, nuts, bolts, shackles, hooks, and chains. Tighten or replace anything that's loose or worn. Maintenance needs will vary depending on how often the swing is used, your location (coastal areas corrode faster), and weather.
About the timber: Your frame is made from Australian Cypress Pine, a naturally termite-resistant hardwood. Like all solid timber, Cypress will develop small surface splits (checking) as it expands and contracts with the seasons. This is completely normal and does not affect the frame's strength or safety — it's simply part of how natural wood behaves.
