Every kid needs a secret hideout, and this one floats. The Comfy Cocoon is a kids' hanging tent swing that turns any strong tree branch or swing stand into a cosy little den. With a soft inflatable floor, a doorway to crawl through and a round window to peek out of, it's the perfect spot to read, daydream, chat with a friend or just sway gently on a lazy afternoon.
Why You'll Love It
- ✅ A Cosy Den of Their Own: An enclosed tent with a doorway and round rear window gives kids aged 3 to 10 a calm little space to call their own.
- ✅ Soft Inside: The inflatable floor cushion makes it comfy to sit or lie down, and the foot pump is included.
- ✅ Simple to Hang: Hangs from one single point on a tree or swing stand, backed by a 12-month parts warranty.
⚠️ Please note: Stand not included. This hanging tent swing is designed for children aged 3 to 10 in a family home, and is not suitable for children under 3. Adult set-up and supervision are required at all times. Allow 2m of clear space around the swing, and never hang it over concrete, asphalt or hard-packed ground.
A Little Hideaway That Gently Sways
Kids love small spaces. There's something about being tucked inside a den that helps them slow down and settle. This cocoon gives them exactly that, with the bonus of a gentle sway. The black canopy has a green-trimmed doorway with fabric-fastened flaps, plus a round window at the back for looking out at the garden. A ring of poles holds the top in shape, foam-covered poles form the base, and the inflatable cushion makes a soft floor. Many families find it becomes a favourite quiet corner for reading, resting or winding down after a busy day.
Where to Hang It
The cocoon hangs from its top loop and the included chain, from a single strong point such as a sturdy tree branch or a swing stand. Its height suits most stands, but at 112cm wide it won't fit on some smaller frames, so check your stand's width before ordering. Keep it hung low to the ground, with 2m of clear space all around, over a soft surface such as bark mulch, wood chips, fine sand or fine gravel. Not sure if it will suit your setup? Care & Safety Instructions
Safe Hanging Setup: An adult should set up the cocoon, following the assembly manual. Hang it from a strong tree branch or a sturdy swing stand, low to the ground, with 2m of clear space all around. Never hang it over concrete, asphalt or compacted earth. Bark mulch, wood chips, fine sand or fine gravel underneath are best.
Supervision & Use: Adult supervision is required at all times, and the cocoon is not suitable for children under 3. It's made for sitting, lying and gentle swaying, not strong swinging, standing or jumping. Remind kids to keep their arms, legs and head clear of the hanging chain and straps.
Regular Checks: Check the fabric, poles, chain and hanging strap regularly for wear or damage. Fabric naturally wears over time, especially in strong sun. Don't use the swing if any part is missing or damaged.
Weather & Storage: The steel parts can rust, especially near the coast. Bring the cocoon inside when it won't be used for a while, and follow the maintenance steps in the manual, including treating any rust spots early.

Common Questions
Does it come with a stand?
No, the stand is not included. The cocoon hangs from a single point, such as a strong tree branch or a swing stand. Its height suits most stands, but at 112cm wide it may not fit some smaller frames.
What ages is it suitable for?
It's designed for children aged 3 to 10 and is not suitable for children under 3. The manual lists a maximum user weight of 150kg. Adult supervision is required at all times.
Can it stay outside?
It's made for backyard use, and the PU-coated polyester fabric helps water bead off. The steel parts can still rust, though, especially near the coast. To help it last, bring it inside when it won't be used for a while.
Can I order this through my NDIS plan?
Siesta Hammocks supplies NDIS plan-managed and self-managed participants Australia-wide, and we can invoice your plan manager. We're not a registered NDIS provider for agency-managed plans.
What does the warranty cover?
Parts are covered for 12 months when the swing is used in a family home and maintained as the manual describes. The warranty doesn't cover normal wear and tear, sun-faded fabric, or use in schools, childcare centres or play centres. It also doesn't cover rust, unless a manufacturing fault caused it, and never covers rust on swings within 1.5km of salt water.
