The silky, smooth material feels luxurious against the skin while providing a nice, tight, secure wrap.
Hanging is an absolute breeze. Use 1 hanging point if you want a tighter wrap that can spin 360 degrees, or use 2 hanging points for a slightly more open feel that moves gently forward and backward. Plus, with the two large included carabiners, taking it down and putting it back up without having to re-tie your knots is easy as!

Installation Guide
Finding a Ceiling Joist:
It's highly recommended to use a stud finder to locate a solid joist. No stud finder? Try knocking on the ceiling! A solid sound means you've hit a joist, while a hollow sound means you haven't.
Drilling & Mounting (Ceiling Hook):
- Use your ceiling hanging kit to mark the drill holes with a pencil. Tip: If your joist isn't wide enough for 4 bolts, drilling at least 2 bolts securely along the center of the joist is usually sufficient.
- Always wear protective glasses. Drill into the joist where marked, then clean out the dust from the holes.
- Insert your ceiling hook, screw the bolts in tightly with a screwdriver.
- Connect the included carabiner to your installed ceiling hook. If it's too high, use an optional hanging chain or tree strap to lower it!
Adjusting the Fabric: Tie each end of the nylon material through a carabiner using a double knot (to prevent sliding). Retie until you hit your perfect height. Leave excess material sitting inside the carabiner.
Safety Precautions
Your safety is our top priority! Please follow these guidelines:
- Test It: Before a child uses the swing, pull down on it as hard as possible to ensure the installation is secure.
- Clear the Area: Keep the surrounding area free of toys, hard furniture, or tripping hazards. Place a soft mat underneath for extra peace of mind.
- Height Limit: The swing should not be hung higher than 35cm from the ground.
- Gentle Use: Sensory swings are designed for gentle swinging and calming movement, not aggressive or high-swinging play.
- Supervision: Adult supervision is always required. Children should sit securely in the center and avoid wearing loose clothing, ponchos, or scarves that could become tangled.
Care & Washing
Usage: The nylon material is mildew resistant, but prolonged UV exposure can cause the beautiful tritone colours to fade. It is highly recommended as an indoor swing. If used outdoors, store it inside when not in use.
Washing: To keep your swing fresh and silky, we suggest hand-washing gently and drying it on a low heat cycle.
Common Questions
How to assemble a sensory swing if it has a cushion insert?
Note: This applies if you purchased a Pod/Nest variant. Make sure all parts are present. Remove the inflatable cushion from its vacuum bag, place it inside the zipped pod seat, and pump it up to a comfortable firmness. Close the zipper fully before use.
Are sensory swings safe?
Yes, when installed correctly into a solid structural joist and used as intended (gentle swinging). We strongly recommend placing a soft safety mat underneath, keeping the swing under 35cm off the ground, and ensuring active adult supervision at all times.
Can I hang this without a tree?
Absolutely! While outdoor trees are great, you can easily install this indoors using a heavy-duty ceiling hook attached to a solid joist, or hang it from an exposed horizontal beam on your verandah using tree straps.
