Yes. To ensure stability and safety, the included steel cross-base must be either bolted directly to a solid surface or weighed down with heavy-duty base weights (sold separately) to prevent the umbrella from tipping.
Our cantilever umbrella is designed for easy storage. Simply use the crank to close the canopy and the assembly can be tucked away with minimum fuss during the off-season.
